About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Quit your job and move to Holland for a year? Yes, please. Count me in.
ABOUT ME
I love adventure and new experiences. If it's strange, I want to try it. If it's obscure, I want to see it. If you have something interesting to say, I want to hear it.
I graduated from UCLA in 2007 with a degree in Psychology. I played water polo there all 4 years and after I graduated, I went to Sydney, Australia to play water polo and travel the country a bit for about 6 months. I returned to Los Angeles to work for a year, but the travel bug bit me again so now I find myself in The Netherlands. My main purpose while I'm here is to train so I can try out for the US National Water Polo team this summer 2010, but of course I want to take advantage of living in Europe and see as much as I can while I'm here.
I'm a very simple person. I eat anything, I sleep anywhere, and I'm easily entertained. My favorite part of traveling is talking to locals as well as fellow travelers about their lives and adventures. The world is vast, beautiful and so different everywhere you look. Nothing gives me more pleasure than exploring a new place with a good friend, eating something delicious, and finishing it off with a coffee, beer, some wine or all three.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently living in a small Dutch town, Nijverdal, in the East of Holland. I will be here until the end of May 2010 playing water polo for the club Fysius Het Ravijn. I hope to soak in the Dutch culture, language, and landscape while I'm here by continuing to meet and have some fun with the locals! I have a place to live while I'm here, but I would love to meet a fellow couchsurfer in Holland who is keen to show me around their city, meet up for a coffee, or have a fun time out on the town!
Over Christmas and New Year's, I will be traveling a bit through Europe so I hope to Couch Surf for real while I'm in Vienna. I met someone from Austria while traveling in Australia in 2008 and he inspired me to see the country in the winter. His tales of ice skating and drinking hot wine sold me on the spot! I can't wait!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love pretty much all music, but I'm going through a bit of an Electronic/Dance phase at the moment. Right now I'm reading "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. This one really makes you think and appreciate all the great minds of science!
