About Me
Hi! I'm 22 years old and love to travel and meet travelers!
I've done a few major trips - recently I just did a month long trip to Europe (not nearly long enough),
I go to school for secondary education, focusing on English / Math / and ESL. Ultimately I would like to be able to continue my travels while teaching ESL. 1 more year of school!!
I love to read, write, make art, make conversation, make tea, and connect with people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to be able to host people when they come to Detroit and meet locals during my travels!
Detroit has a lot to offer, but without a proper guide it can be difficult to navigate. There's plenty of gentrified breweries and restaurants downtown, but the true magic of the city is underground and I love showing people the side of Detroit that makes me fall in love with it regularly.
I love meeting travelers and playing tour guide, and I also love meeting locals and exploring the non-tourist side of cities. While I love staying in hostels, some of my best experiences while traveling were staying with locals.
Couch surfing is the best!

What I Can Share with Hosts
I live in an amazing historical loft in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit. The unit has amazing energy and there are always people over contributing. We have weekly potlucks, and an open door policy for people who need a safe space or somewhere to be. I'm a 5min drive or a 10-15min bike ride to Midtown, and a 5min drive to downtown.
I can show you a side of Detroit you likely won't find on your own. The city is sparked by underground music / art / community in warehouses and small venues and gallery spaces. The city is weird. The city has soul. I love showing people the city I'm so in love with.
I also love making breakfast, lemme make you breakfast plz.
