ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty outgoing 26-year old from Seattle, WA in the United States. I've grown up in Seattle, but then moved to Southern California near LA for college. Then I moved back to Seattle for 3 years, and now live in North Carolina on the east coast! I am currently in graduate school, working on my PhD in Microbiology and Immunology.

I'm pretty independent, and love the freedom of traveling on my own, but even more than that, love the people I get to meet while traveling. I'm outgoing and love being thrown into new situations.

Interests

I love traveling, and try to take advantage of any opportunities I get. I love films, and am heavily involved with the Seattle International Film Festival (the largest film festival in North America!), and see an obscene number of movies there each year (maybe I can recommend some good ones?). I listen to music all the time, and am always looking for new favorite groups and artists. I also love reading, although don't make as much time for it as I should, although I find the long plane/train/bus rides when I travel are a perfect opportunity to catch up on some reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

My go-to favorite author is Haruki Murakami, and I often find myself going back and re-reading his books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, played with reindeer in the arctic circle in Northern Finland, spend New Year's Eve with 2 million of my friends at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, attending San Fermín (running with the bulls) in Pamplona, Spain....what's going to be next?
