ABOUT ME

My name is Emily. I have a Masters of Public Health (concentration: global health). I love to travel and help people, so I think working in the global health field is perfect. I currently work in a faith-based nongovernmental organization that does international development and relief work. I love learning new cultures, languages, and meeting new people. I am vegetarian, love to play piano, and am a huge animal lover. I would choose to be out in nature any day, and think we should all try our best to preserve what little of it is left. I think love is the best medicine.

PHILOSOPHY

Be honest. Love always. Look on the bright side. Do something different. These are some of the things I really strive for in my life. I believe life is what you make it, and if you live it with integrity, care for others, and a positive outlook, all while not being afraid to be out of the ordinary, I think life will be really rich and full.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went gorilla trekking in Uganda and got to see a family of 19 gorillas in their own natural habitat. One of the babies even came up to me and started playing with my shoelaces. So unreal.
