About Me

I'm a Canadian musician and dancer with a love of traveling. I spent a semester studying in England and became addicted to travelling, I went somewhere new almost every weekend. I'm looking to travel around Europe as much as I can in the four months that I'm here.
Most of my travel so have has revolved around music, hiking and swing/blues dancing for workshops. Music and dance are my passions and addictions. I play a variety of string instruments and do many different kinds of swing dance, and a few types of Spanish dance. I'm always open to learning new things and going on adventures.
I love long discussions about things that matter to people. I love to share my passions and learn about what matters to others. I love the connections you build with someone you meet while travelling. I find travelling on my own opens me up more the new experiences and better conversations. Most of all, I love to laugh. I try to find bits of joy in everything I can, especially when it's the most difficult.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The most memorable days of travelling are spent with others. I love exploring new places, but the people I meet while travelling are often some of the strongest connections. No one knows a city like the people who live there and they tend to know the best places to go and things to see, which Google won't always be able to tell you. I hope Couchsurfing will lead to many new friends and learning new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a semester abroad in England, having known no one in the area, and traveled on my own almost every weekend I was there. I made incredible friends and had to many adventures. It was the first time I truly felt independent. I was able to go new places on my own knowing no one and am still good friends with many of the people I met on that trip.
As someone who stayed in my home city for University, it was a really big deal for me at the time. Starting somewhere new without a support system seemed terrifying and exciting. Now, I'm a bit addicted to it. I love meeting people for the first time. There's nothing like the first moments of getting to know someone and everything about them being new and interesting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always open to trying new things. I love sharing songs and learning new tunes from others. If you want to try, I'd even show you some dance moves. I'm up for all kinds of adventure and love exploring new cities. If you have time, teach me what you love. Share what's important to you. And I promise, I will do the same.
