About Me

I am rather talkative, up beat, interested in others, honest and always keen to explore new avenues in life. I love reading and am a HUGE fan of films, I love being around people exchanging energy with them and growing as a person.
So far this year in Brazil, I have learnt more than I could possibly have hoped for, the people I've met, the places I've been and the experiences I've had have filled me with goodness all round.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Coach surfing for me is a chance to get to know the people from whichever town, city, village or land I am visiting. Then I can truly get to know the place I visit, I find that it's the people that make a place rather than just the location - even if it is just some chats in the evening and recommendations for the day. I believe that it's the people that really make you love a place.

Interests

People, food (cooking for myself and even better for other people, eating out..eating in) walking/hiking/strolling around mountains, rivers, beaches, deserts or city streets...Immersing myself in another culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste in music...and a lot of it! Music is a huge part of my life (listening to it, dancing to it...)
So many films to choose out of, but most of my favourite films are foreign films; Try watching: The Prophet, The lives of others, The Secret in their Eyes.
All people should read Alone in Berlin...so good - along with so many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surviving a 15 hour day of walking down, kayaking across, climbing up and hiking around the dormant volcano 'Cuicocha' in Equador; with no water, no food and no guide! - To say the least, we were very underprepared! But once back in safety with a chocolate bar for comfort, the experience was incredible.
