Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
complete enlightenment (no, seriously, it's possible....)
ABOUT ME
i tell everyone i was really interesting before i became a buddhist. the truth is just that all my other pursuits have taken a backseat to a few years of intense meditation practice and all-out intense work. where does this leave me? still very much a work in progress, and most of my adventure tales of the past few years are inner adventures. you can't find these places on a map.
so in a nutshell? a rabble-rousing yet conscientious over-achiever who's mostly traded in external adventures for internal ones, aiming for transcendence, liberation and a bodhisattva's way of life, and meeting other sentient beings along the way, whether challenging or chill, to share this adventure with.
PHILOSOPHY
self-liberate the antidote! in other words, evolve, flow, grow, or perish. life is beautiful at all times, if only we learn to see and love that way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
my brother turned me on to CS. most of the traveling I'd done before was in hostels or camping. now most of it's for helping put on meditation retreats, or else go on them.
Interests
tibetan buddhism, meditation, glassblowing, weaving, queer cinema, deaf culture (esp. american and irish deaf communities, where I've spent a lot of time), rugby, vegan baking, making documentaries and experimental films, and making people happy. also hiking, biking (and bike commuting), rock climbing (i'm very much a beginner at this), tree-climbing, basically anything outside...
