CURRENT MISSION

I just finished the classes for an MFA program in nonfiction writing in Tucson. I'm still working on a writing project/thesis. For fun/survival I exercise, cook simple meals and go to readings in the city. You're welcome to come stay as long as you make yourself scarce when I'm writing. I have two tennis rackets and a rice cooker, and I live near U of A. There's pick-up soccer in a park near here that I'd love to go to more. Also, I have a pool, and it's now hotter than hell, so you can always hang out by that.

ABOUT ME

I just left these things blank and had great experiences on Couchsurfing, but now I'm being prompted to finish my profile. I know it's to keep out the creepy element, but descriptions of myself tend to be creepier than white space, so this will have to do for now.

Interests

Lately I've been getting into acroyoga, but I'm not into-into it (Wait, I'm going to edit this: I'm into-into it, like I need italics to say how into it I am) I like to play pick-up soccer and tennis, too.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I have a washing machine. I will show you how to put clothing in it and make your clothing clean. Wait, edit: I don't have a washing machine any more. I mean you can use the one I have access to, but it requires coins now. When I was an undergrad people used to put a quarter in a condom and push it into the coin slot and then pull it back so they could get a load for free. You're welcome to try that, but if you do try it and you break the machine, we'll have to make sur Ja'que the manager doesn't find out. She's former military and scary. Although once she gave me a Limarita, so she has a softer side we might be able to appeal to if you break the washing machine because you're too cheap or just don't have any quarters.

Learn: Open to learning a lot.

What I Can Share with Hosts

This is a new section, and I"m glad it's here because I want to say I can probably share quarters with you if you need to do laundry and you're thinking maybe I'll just put one quarter in a condom and put it into the coin slot on the laundry machine and then call the coin back with the condom. I've thought about it, actually I've thought about it a lot, more than you might have guessed, and it just doesn't seem worth it. Ja'que has so much anger. I just don't want to have to hide from her.

What I"m sayng is my stuff is your stuff.

But honestly, I don't have that much stuff. I did buy this shiatsu massager off of craig's list that's a real hit with friends, although some think it's too rough. In that case you can borrow a sweatshirt to place on the mechanical shiatsu balls to soften up its hard robotic touch.
