ABOUT ME

I am a young American currently working in international business. I have lived in France for two years and I love being in Europe! I dream of traveling all over the world and learning about different cultures. I absolutely love learning, and like asking a million questions! An offer to host me to introduce me to your family and culture through couchsurfing is one of the nicest things you can do for me; so I would treat you with every bit of respect. I do not smoke, and I do not like partying late at night like most youth of my age.

PHILOSOPHY

I laugh, I smile, I sin, I cry, I learn - just like everyone else in the world. I believe the day when we stop asking questions, is the day we stop learning - the day when we stop living. John Dewey's words - "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself" could not be more true!!

I am a huge advocate of personal responsibility and hard work. If you want something, you need to take the responsibility and put in the effort it takes for you to get it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a beginner when it comes to couchsurfing. I really like the idea to meet new, interesting people and to have a great time with them.

兴趣

I have been playing the cello for eleven years and I have been in at least eight different orchestras and five string quartets. I also love the French language - I am using every resource I possibly can in the hopes of becoming completely bilingual. Once I have mastered French, then I can tackle other languages (meaning, I can take on the task of learning other languages) I also love playing chess and have an intermediate level. I yearn to have long, deep discussions to learn about foreign cultures; as a young privileged white American girl, I really need to get out and see what the world is really like.

I also love doing CrossFit - I have been doing lots of CrossFit for the past 14 months. I feel physically and mentally wonderful after completing the workouts, and I admire its close-knit community.

For music - too many to list! But Celine Dion and the Bach Suites for Solo Cello are on the top of this list! As much as I was enthralled by "the Hunger Games trilogy", I have to say that "Avatar the Last Airbender: the Art of the Animated Series" and the Harry Potter series are my favorite books! For TV shows, I love absolutely everything and anything to do with "Avatar the Last Airbender" and "the Legend of Korra" (except that "the Last Airbender" movie by Shyamalan...that was AWFUL and it ruined the beauty of the show!!).

I am a triplet - I guess this counts. It has been amazing growing up with two triplet sisters and an older sister.
