About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To eat the yummiest food in as many places as possible!
ABOUT ME
I love traveling, eating, cooking, biking, rock climbing, snowboarding and of course, meeting new people. I love having adventures and have done a week-long backpacking trip, but I'd love to add more adventurous things to that list, like scuba diving. I currently work on increasing access to farmers markets for food stamp shoppers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies (almost all types: comedies (Will Ferrell especially), musicals, especially tragic love story musicals like Moulin Rouge, adventures (The Princess Bride) and anything with Leonardo DiCaprio suits me just fine.
I love music too, really mostly everything, but am in a particularly bluesy and blugrassy mood lately. Just getting started in this genre, so don't have any fancy names to drop, but really anything that makes me dance or cry works well.
I love love love to read and always have a good book with me. I just finished the Handmaid's Tale, Age of Innocence (waaaayy better than the movie) and Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri, the Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver. I just started Jane Goodall's "In the Shadow of Man," and it's sooo good! EB White is one of my favorites!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching turtles lay eggs in Cyprus and having a big mama turtle crawl over me!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a certified English teacher, and speak enough Italian that I could teach some. I love to cook, and could show a beginner a trick or two. I'm also getting into pickling and preserving (yummm) I'm also really interested in learning languages and I'd like to improve my outdoorsy skills (rock climbing, snowboarding, cool knot tying and stuff)
