About Me
I have recently returned home for the summer after living in Canada for the last year. I'm planning to return to Canada this year and carry on adventuring!
I love music, warm conversations, goofy humour, nature, adventures, seeing more of the world and continuously being in awe of how much I have left to see.
"Nay, be a Columbus to whole new continents and worlds within you, opening new channels, not of trade, but of thought."
― Henry David Thoreau
“If you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? - Carpe - hear it? – Carpe, Carpe Diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary.”
― N.H. Kleinbaum, Dead Poets Society
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new friends, sharing adventures with said new friends, pushing the boarders of my comfort zone, cheap sleeps which I hope to return the favor when I'm able.
Interests
Live music and shows, outdoor adventure sports such as rock climbing, hiking, whitewater rafting and probably a lot more things I haven't tried yet, petting and cuddling all of the dogs, meeting new people and learning from them, feeling alive everyday, and growing into the best version of myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music influences a large part of who I am; I love seeing live shows, finding new music to love, playing a little guitar and having a sing.
Love Actually, The Holiday, Dead Poets Society, almost every Adam Sandler film, and mostly tv series; New Girl, The Mindy Project, Game of Thrones, Community, PLL, Parks and Recreation, Vikings. All about that romantic/comedy, yo.
The Alchemist, The Hunger Games, Yes Please, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns), The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, Quiet, The Power of Now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Despite my instincts screaming at me not to, jumped off a railway bridge with a bunch of friends into the Thompson River. Stupid? Of course. Ridiculously liberating? Yep!
Teach, Learn, Share
Currently, and slowly, learning Spanish so I am always excited to meet others who can teach me new phrases and laugh at my attempt at saying 'railway'.
I'm a very open person and love to soak up new things whether it be about culture, languages, personal stories, or a new way to put a doona in its case without getting inside of it.
I can teach you the right vegemite to bread ratio and how to make other Australian delicacies (fairy bread), provide mediocre guitar lessons and hopefully any new life skills I attain between now and when we meet.
Travelling and the people I've met along the way have taught me so much about myself, this is why we do it, so hopefully I can contribute something to your story.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Warm conversations, friendship, a cup of tea, un poquito Español and laughs over my poor Español and ridiculous sense of humour, adventure invitations, a sing along or two, and a super tidy, honest guest.
