About Me
Pediatric resident doctor at OHSU in Portland, Oregon
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've surfed around a few places in Europe, had wonderful experiences, and hope to continue on for more. Once settled back in the States, I look forward to having a place where I can host fellow travelers.
I love Couchsurfing because it gives me the chance to know the reality of the places I visit, beyond the touristy sheen that most cities have. I want to see how people really live, the places they love most, the way they spend their time and how they interact with their neighbors. That's what makes Couchsurfing so special to me, and why I am so committed to traveling in an honest and authentic way.
Prior experience includes Couchsurfing in Nantes, France for two nights with a friend, and again in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. Looking forward to many more couchsurfing travels in the future! We had such a wonderful time getting to know our generous hosts and the places they call home. I also frequently host couchsurfers in my home in Portland, mostly through my partner's account, who lives with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Careened through the Senegalese bush on the back of a "bush taxi" (pickup truck full of rickety bench seats) with about 30 other people piled in the back, dodging thorny acacia branches and hoping that I get off at the right village.
