CURRENT MISSION
To dance around the world & play as much volleyball as possible :)
ABOUT ME
Originally from Sydney but now living in Melbourne for about 2 years. I've also lived in Japan, Brazil and Argentina before but enjoying Melbourne life at the moment.
If I were to describe my passions, I´d say that I love dancing, beach volleyball and cooking. I love a glass of red wine or champagne (a non expensive type!) and good conversation, preferably in a hammock or near the beach.
I'm quite a curious person, so I ask a lot of questions-I'm just asking for personal opinions though, nothing definitive! Sorry if that's annoying or seems like I'm interrogating you! (But am I?)
I love to cook and I especially like cooking for people. Although I'm Australian, we don't really have "Australian food", but I like to make a lot of things and if we meet I hope I can make something for you : )
I also love to dance. I like salsa and forro, but I'm not very good at them. But I like to try (and make a fool of myself).Hehe. But I like to see and try lots of types of dancing.
I like joking around and laughing. I´m also a very warm person, so when I get good vibes from people, I am very open, warm, and love to give big hugs & lots of affection. PLEASE DO NOT MISTAKE THIS FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN FRIENDLINESS! I am just a really friendly person who likes to make other people feel good & smile, so let´s enjoy it and be friends. Remember, COUCHSURFING IS NOT A DATING SERVICE!!! Mwahahahahahaha
PHILOSOPHY
I want to enjoy my life, but I also want to become a better person everyday. I think compassion and understanding are very important, but this is not always easy- it's an uphill battle!
AND
COUCH SURFING IS NOT A DATING SERVICE! Respect! hahahahahahahahaha
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I first joined CS, it was at the beginning of a trip that lasted more than 2 years, so at first I was just a surfer, not a host. Over the years I have had some chances to host on and off, but I haven't been able to for a while. And I had such amazing experiences couchsurfing, sometimes I stayed with my hosts for extended periods of time and was even invited to live with them, I've always been craving the chance to host and to give a little back to CS. Luckily, I am now in a position where I can host again! I have had some wonderful hosting experiences so hopefully I can do so again.
I think CS is a great way to meet a variety of people and learn about the world, and I´m so glad I had the opportunity to join : )
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed a few times in Buenas Aires and Brazil and had some great experiences. I'm still friends with some of the hosts I met there, and hope to surf with them or host them in the future. My few experiences of hosting were also great, I only regret that I didn´t have as much time to give to the people who stayed with me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love reading, like music and enjoy movies. If you can recommend any of the above, I'd be interested!
But there's so much more, and so much more I'd like to know ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think an amazing thing I've experienced since I've been in South America is huge generosity from complete strangers. I hear a lot about how dangerous South America is (especially from South Americans) and this may be true, but I've had some amazing experiences here and met some wonderful people.
I also went to Chapada diamantina, and went for a two day hike there...for me, it was a very humbling experience...I felt so small and insignificant in that huge national park, but it was amazing and I sensed something incredibly beauitful there. I hope that I can experience something like that again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am very interested in languages, so if you can help me with my portunal, I'd love that! I also like to learn a lot about different cultures and ways of doing things, so I like to hear stories about everything.
I can speak Japanese (although these days not so well-I´m very out of practice) and I am an English teacher, so I can try to help you with either of these if you like
: )
If anyone can teach me different types of dancing, or at least how to shake my booty (bundina-or in my case bundao) like a Brazilian, I’d appreciate it!
And also if you can help me with my portuguese or now non-existent spanish, that would be great.
