Hey, I'm Emily! Born and raised in Central Arizona, a desert rat turned snow bird on the move for the last handful of years, mostly between my winter home of New Orleans and everywhere between New England to Central America. In my travels I have engaged in a variety of "work," although professionally I've done just about everything from advocacy in the nonprofit sector, art education and therapy, building and repairing bicycles, consignment buying/selling, teaching yoga, trail conservation and farm work, slinging glasses of wine, to cooking for large and small groups of folks. For me, traveling is best experienced among the locals, living and contributing to the daily lives of those I stay with. These gifts of sharing time with people around the world, I believe, is all assisting in building the self-sustainable life I hope to attain one day.
