Hi there! I'm from Turkey but I study at an American university that takes its students all around the world, we switch campuses to a new country every semester! So that explains why I have so many "countries I lived in" on my profile rather than just the ones I visited. I'm an experienced traveler and an extroverted easygoing guy. Trust me, we won't have a hard time finding something to chat about haha. I love sharing what I know, but even more importantly, hearing what you have to say about your life story and culture. Couchsurfing wasn't my main platform for finding hosts over the past couple of years, but I was lucky enough to be hosted by many total strangers in their homes just as an act of kindness. So I'm definitely a mindful guest; no awkward vibes or unthoughtful gestures, I promise. I don't wanna keep this too long, hopefully we can learn more about each other by chatting in person soon instead!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think what gives meaning to traveling is the relationships we cultivate along the way, not with just fellow travelers but also, and especially, the locals. I love creating memories with cool new contacts I just met; I love the opportunity to get to know someone's life closely over the course of a few days as I take a quick look at their lives and routines. As much as I enjoy traveling for sightseeing, that's not why I'm really doing it. I think Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to find new friends and truly immerse myself in new cultures, something a stay at a hotel can't really provide.
