Overview
About Me
I am a recently graduated architect living in Sarajevo. Originally from Istanbul/Turkey
I'm a city wanderer, I always prefer cities and crowds to nature. Maybe it's because I grew up inside the Chaos Monster called Istanbul.
When I go somewhere, I spend my time in the cities, meet people and collect urban stories from them. I believe every city has it's own unique character and people and that's what I'm trying to figure out everywhere I go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well... CS is not like it used to be obviously. It's hard to tell if someone is real travel and culture enthusiast or just free accommodation seeker. Not even mentioning the tour guide scams and sexsurfers. Yet again, I have big symphaty for lifetime Nomads whom I love helping their journey to become a bit more memorable. And all other travelers who are really looking to know locals and their culture. It's hard to find hosts too since many people lost trust on the community. But here I am still eager to share my space and time with travelers. After all, there is nothing better than seeing that light in a travelers eye while telling their travel stories over a drink. :)
Interests
Music is my main interest. I played the guitar in a band when I was a student. Nowadays I'm more into classical oriental music. I play oud now :) I am also interested in making movies, drinking coffee, architecture, eating street food, Old Ottoman and Persian Poetry, practical physics, philosophy. I'm also a club level chess player. People say I'm not bad at cooking :) I love to cook for my guests and hosts.
