About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To host YOU! Travel is my motto, philanthropy is my way of life.

ABOUT ME

I am a vegetarian (more for the humanitarian perspective, but I also love animals). I don't mind if people eat meat, however. I love to backpack in the mountains and camping is always fun :)I also enjoy traveling anywhere I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I love people. I want to do something that changes the world even if it's minor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to play host and try to grow the community anyway that I can, but my lack of a real "home" location makes it a bit trickier.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Switzerland was a dream come true for me! I was a bit jet-lagged, but I kept my eyes open long enough to fall in love! Thanks again Julianne!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music! And, as an English enthusiast, I can devour a good book anytime!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been fortunate enough to live on a farm, roam freely, and feed the baby cows (yes, I know they are called "calves", but "Sorry I can't go out tonight because I have to wake up early to feed the calves" sounds a lot more like "Sorry I can't go out tonight because I have to wake up early to feed the cats"... and a LOT MORE INSANE... than the former.

Other than that, I had swung high in the canopies of Costa Rica, ridden galloping horses through mountains in Wyoming, tasted the ugliest green pastry in Italy, eaten a true Italian meal in Rome, hiked some of the tallest terrain in North America, seen creatures that rival any pictures on Discovery Channel, danced my heart out at some of the most elaborate clubs in Florida... and am working on getting more adventures under my belt as we speak. So...

Here ye, here ye! Here's to great food, grand fun, and the freedom of youth!

Teach, Learn, Share

Random tips:
* When cooking food for others, always let them help you. That way, they will think it tastes better (because they had their own say). Additionally, you can blame any mistakes on them! (Just kidding about that last part.)
* Never drink too much if you have gone through any emotional turmoil. You will almost always divulge too much information. Never a good thing.
* Nothing good happens after 2 am. Stay up anyway :)
* If you have a friend with a special diet, just try whatever they make/you make for them. You will make them feel more comfortable and may find a new favorite food.
* Use more nutmeg (thank you, Wijdan!)
