Hi there! I'm Emily. I like to read, write, go on hikes, longboard, and play the ukulele. I'm from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and I majored in biology at the University of Mississippi with plans on continuing my education in healthcare. I'm an "extroverted introvert" (INFJ according to Myers and Briggs); I do love talking to people and making friends, but I also need alone time. My number one goal in life is to be happy, but it's also to not live a boring life and to make the most of it. I like people who are different from me - it's fun to learn new things!!! I'm obsessed with stories so I love anything with a storyline - books, movies, etc, but I'm migrating towards nonfiction now, haha!!!

*** I'm also not accepting guests because I live with my parents right now! I will in the future when I have my own place. Not like Mississippi is any fun, though!

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think it's an awesome concept. There's so much fear and ugly in the world, and I think it's important to try to find kindness and acceptance and love. I'm new to couchsurfing, but I had 2 awesome experiences so far (one hosting, one being hosted). The one my roommate hosted was a traveling musician, and the one who hosted us (also with my roommate) was so warm and friendly. I absolutely loved both experiences and hope to have more! I also want to be more out of my comfort zone since I am an introvert. I don't have many friends to be honest, aside from a small close circle, but I want to hear your stories and I want to just EXPERIENCE life. I want to have friends from all over the world :-)

I'm not very good at ukulele yet, but I want to learn more of that and piano. I took piano lessons for 2 years when I was younger. I also want to learn how to cook, dance, write, and become more active. I'm really down for learning any new skill.
