CURRENT MISSION

Sometimes I just feel like school and work get in the way. They give our lives structure, but not always happiness. Memories stay with us forever, so, more importantly than the lavish hotels delicious food are the people I've met and their stories.

ABOUT ME

Well, to start off I am half Turkish and half Brazilian. I was born in Turkey, raised as a kid in Turkey, Italy, and Louisiana-USA. Then I lived in Kansas for 8 years where I spent most of my teen years. I did college there, then transferred to UNC in North Carolina, and I transferred again to FAU in Boca Raton, Fl. Orlando after that and make Charlotte, NC!

PHILOSOPHY

People are placed in our path to guide us, distract us, teach us, make us more tolerable, destory us, help rebuild ourselves, or simply accompany us. Our world is so extremely beautiful and it is filled with all kinds of people. I cannot even begin to describe the quirky and beautiful places I've ended up in from just wandering through cities and talking with new people.

It is a shame that some people never leave their hometowns to discover what else our world has to offer. It's sad to see people getting stuck in a 9-5 rut their whole lives and saving for a retirement they will live in regret because they didn't do much in their youth. I don't want to be that person.

My philosophy is: if you don't know where to go, just go. Start by walking, by meeting, by travelling, exploring, seeing, experiencing, feeling, immersing, and go with the flow. My most memorable experiences I've acquired on my journey's help me in the toughest of moments. Simply reflecting on them makes my day and makes me smile. It takes me to that moment; a temporary escape I can go on whenever and wherever I am.

I do not have any couchsurfing experience yet. I am new to this.

Interests

Travelling, hiking, socializing, exploring new cities, desolate beaches, backgammon, gardening, kayaking, skiing, road trips, new restaurants, art galleries, etc. I love trying new activities and learning from others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Get lost in the streets of Istanbul, Turkey and drive on the massive dunes in the Northeast of Brazil.
