ABOUT ME

I'm quiet, calm and patient. Some people have told me that they can rest in my company. I like being alone but also enjoy having someone to share the fun with.

I've been teaching English for about 10 years and doing many other things inbetween. For the last 3 years I've taught secondary school students. That was pretty intense, so I'm taking a break and going to Australia and then New Zealand for the RWC. Actually, the rugby is just an excuse to finally see the countries I've been dreaming of since I was a teenager.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I usually watch them according to one actor or director. Actors: Clive Owen, James McAvoy, Russell Crowe, Jim Carrey etc. Directors: Woody Allen, Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, Wes Anderson etc.
At the moment on the top of these lists are Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi.

TV shows: Northern Exposure, The Wonder Years (anyone remembers them?), Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory

Music: I'm a big fan of Flight of the Conchords, The Phoenix Foundation and Fly My Pretties. They're all from New Zealand. But I also like some older albums by U2, REM, every album by Peter Gabriel and Sting. I'm open to new bands as well as listening to some Irish folk. Oh, and I mustn't forget about soundtracks. I love soundtracks!

Books: I don't read much, sorry. Too much time on the Internet. If you want to count The Bible as a book then that's the #1 for me.

Other than that, I used to be an ambassador's secretary for some time. That was an interesting experience. But I was happy to quit to be a teacher. Sometimes I don't understand my decisions.
