I am Emirhan. I live in Arnavutköy, Istanbul. After graduating from maritime high school, I worked on ships. Then I left the ship to go to the army. Now, I am currently preparing for university and trying to learn English. I live in nature in a house with a big garden. Our house is 15 minutes away from Istanbul Airport. I will be happy to meet new people, help them and practice English. :)

We have a cousin who has cows in the same neighborhood. You can see the cows. We have a lake where migratory birds frequent. We can reach the lake within 30 minutes walking distance. There is a lot of farmland around. Corn, sunflower and wheat are grown on these lands. You can walk through the fields. There are buses that pass through the neighborhood at certain times of the day. It is not very frequent, but you can easily hitchhike and go to Arnavutköy center, even if there is no bus in general. From there, there is public transportation to all districts of Istanbul. Buses to the airport pass through here. Or you can call a taxi and go directly to the airport from home. There is always something to do at home. We would be very happy if you would like to help.

First of all, my oldest sister uses Couchsurfing all the time and meets new people. In this way, she learned English and went to many countries. We have a very big house. So I can host large groups. My mother cooks very well and she is very friendly. (She will be very happy if you to help for gardening to her.) We are actually from Balat, the historical district of Istanbul. My father still goes to Balat every day. Our family members are still there. Thus, we have expeditions that we can go to Balat some days. There is unlimited internet at home.
