About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore and learn.

ABOUT ME

My name is Emily. I'm 19 years old and I'm keen to explore Europe. I'm currently living near Geneva, Switzerland and I'd like to take advantage of it's proximity to other awesome travel destinations.
I want to meet new people and share with them all aspects of our diverse lives/culture.

I've pretty much lived in the same town my whole life, until now. It's been good throwing myself into the deep end in a whole different pond of fish. I guess you could say I've been forced to grow up.

PHILOSOPHY

I cried when I had no shoes until I saw a man with no feet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm in the process of becoming a verified member (just waiting for the verification code) and I try to be the best person I can be in life. It costs nothing to be nice :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm pretty new to the whole couchsurfing thing. I mean, of course I've crashed at friends' houses, but I've only really had one experience with a 'couchsurfer' host. Me and two friends couchsurfed in London a few weeks back and had a very positive experience. The host, Matt was extremely helpful with his advice on getting around the city and to the airport. He was very hospitable and made quite the English breakfast for us. Thanks Matt :)

Interests

Traveling!
Also, I love the outdoors and playing sports including; touch footy, soccer, squash, boadyboarding, swimming, chilling out by the beach/lake/park with my trusty SPF 30+, eating/drinking out and partying like it's 1999.
I love music and rocking out on the d-floor. Love to attempt the moonwalk but I'm never wearing the right shoes for it.

I love and miss my friends at home so much, but making the trip over to Europe was definitely the right move. It expands your knowledge, your way of thinking, your coping mechanisms and of course it enables you to become so much more independent.
