About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just completed #mjyearofadventure (at least one adventure every month for 2014), so I am in the process of paying off the trips and maximizing my time closer to home. 2015 is all about spending quality time with friends and family and meeting new friends while doing some work closer to home.
ABOUT ME
I work in education and love to travel. It's hard to name a favorite place. I studied abroad in Cork, Ireland and also spent significant time in San Salvador. In between, I've visited London, Venice, Rome and Buenos Aires. By way of Groupon, I landed on Sao Miguel Island in the Azores, which was incredible. I've also been on a few cruises and traveled all around the U.S. for work and for pleasure. I'm always down for an adventure.
PHILOSOPHY
Best stated by Lupita: "No matter where you're from, your dreams are valid."

Music, Movies, and Books
One of my favorite books of all time is "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver. The Harry Potter series is also a long-time favorite. I read a lot and it's rare that I read something I don't appreciate in some way. I also listen to lots of different music, but can't go wrong with Beyonce, U2, or Josh Groban. Similar to books, it's hard to name a favorite movie above all else - but most recently, I've really liked "Selma" and "Wild."
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm super passionate about the opportunity for every kid to achieve a high-quality education and the idea that education transforms the prospects for all who attain it. I'm willing to chat with others about this, including the ways in which all adults can help all kids - no matter where they work or what they do.
