Hello! I am a Journalism student at UT and will hopefully be graduating in may 2016. I have a cat even though I would rather have a dog but since I work and go to school, It's less time consuming having a cat. Her name is Mittens and loves attention. I like meeting new people and get along great with everyone. I respect other peoples opinions and don't get flustered if people agree to disagree. I am hoping to explore Europe while I study abroad this May and make new friends. I LOVE laughing. I can have a pretty weird sense of humor but nowadays who doesn't? I really love watching TV shows on Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. As you can see, i have a problem. Hopefully my summer adventure will help me learn that real life is much better than TV life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am hoping to explore Europe while I study abroad this May and make new friends. I would really like to visit places from a local's perspective. I don't mind the fancy parts of town but mostly I want to see how normal people that live there get by. I want to indulge myself in the culture of each place I visit. I want to see the touristy things but also see the behind the scenes of it.

Interests

I love TV. I love laughing. I like having inapropriate conversations. I'm pretty comfortable with awkward moments. I like beer but don't mind knowing what the difference between a good wine and a bad one is. I like learning about people and asking questions. I recently got into taking pictures too. Oh, I LOVE food too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like any kind of music. I've been getting more into the pop and hip-hop stuff but don't mind at all some good Damien Rice. I like indie music too. I don't have a favorite book...I should read more.
My favorite movie is Forest Gump. It's just a classic and has everything that is right in the world.
My favorite TV show at the moment is Jane the Virgin, Parks and Recs. and How to get away with murder. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have volunteered to built latrines in Ghana one summer. It was the most amazing and humbling experience. It gave me a great perspective on life and also helped me see that people can be very similar no matter their lot in life. I was only there for 10-days but fell in love with the people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a great laugh. I've been told its the best. :) I can lend a good ear and be goofy. I like to think that I'm pretty honest and polite so there's that. I also try and keep my business together and don't like drama at all.
