Hello! My name is Emma and I'm a curious adventurer. I currently live in Finland's capital Helsinki, where I study law and work. When I'm not studying or working I love to play different sports (winter sports such as ice hockey, skiing, ice-swimming, skating etc, volleyball, floorball, football, swimming and the list goes on) or cook food with my friends. I live in an old wooden villa together with 6 other people sharing a kitchen, showers, bathrooms and other common areas so I am no stranger to living and coexisting with other people. Even though I don't have any pets, I am a huge lover of dogs an pretty much all animals, which is also demonstrated by the fact that I take care of chickens at a garden I live close-by.

My friends, and myself, would describe me as good company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because staying in a local's home during a visit to a city is a completely different experience than staying at a hotel. I like to interact with people and I love to listen to the stories and experiences people have to offer and take those stories with me. In exchange I hope to leave a little piece of me at every place I visit.

Besides the social aspect, I also believe couchsurfing to be a very sustainable way to travel, which is high on my list of priorities.

Interests

I am a curious person by nature, which means that my range of interests is very broad too. I am eager to try new things and new activities, and I don't think there is that many things I have tried and not liked. So hit me up with any suggestions you have, whether it's trekking up to the mountains for hot coco, feeding llamas or doing crosswords.
