Hi! Moni! Hola! Bonjour! Salaam alekum! Howzit? Hello-o!

I LOVE traveling around and seeing new places/experiencing new cultures. Over my traveling years, I've learned so much simply from meeting new people and having interesting conversations. I'm love learning new languages and recipes. I take lots of photos- trying to build up my photography portfolio- but I also travel with a desire to help others . I volunteered with Peace Corps twice- in Malawi from 2014-16 and in Liberia from 2017-18- doing community health outreach work.

Currently I'm back in Malawi working for Peace Corps. I'm very happy to be "home."

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

After spending so much time in villages getting an authentic experience by living with locals, I find it hard to stay in backpackers and hostels. I like to see places and learn about the local culture through the eyes of people who are actually a part of that place.

How cool it is that we can use couchsurfing to expand our social networks across the globe?! Plus I think it's pretty freaking noteworthy that people are generous enough to open their homes and lives to other travelers. Global citizens unite 🙌🏽🌞 I love the concept.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I lived in a rural village for two years without electricity or running water.... I can tell you allllllll about taking bucket baths, finding mice and scorpions in my house, and carrying water on my head.😝
