Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I am currently doing a semester abroad in Berlin, Germany and plan to travel around Europe while I am here. I would love to use couchsurfing while I travel because it is a unique way to experience a country, living with a host instead of staying in a hotel or hostel. It will expose me to the native culture as well as meet locals from each country! When I go home to NY I would love to try hosting surfers as well!

Books:
My mother is a librarian so I grew up reading and love most genres including thrillers, mystery and fantasy. Some of my favorite books include The Exodus by Leon Uris, the Game of Thrones series by George R.R. Martin, Harry Potter and Emma by Jane Austin.

Movies:
My favorite movie is When Harry Met Sally

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One amazing thing I've done is camping in the Negev Desert in Israel for 3 days. It was one of the most challenging but rewarding things I have ever done. Sleeping under the stars is one of my favorite things to do.

Most recently I also hiked the Swiss Alps which was unbelievable!

Things I like to do while exploring new countries include:
-Checking out the local cuisine
-Shopping, especially local artists, flea markets and thrift stores
-Beautiful hikes and bike trails
-Local, hidden spots
