Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in a little Aussie country town called Warrnambool. The place is famous for it's surf, sun and sea. As a youngster, I wasn't particulary fussed with any of those 3 things though! As soon as I'd finished High School, I packed my bags and headed off to the big smoke for an exciting new adventure.
The city of Melbourne was home for the next 4 years, where I studied screenwriting. Being relatively young and having not yet travelled or experienced much in my adult life, my writing was generally pretty shit. So again I packed my bags and purchased a 1 way ticket to London.
I lived in London for 4 years (thanks to dual citizenship) and began my career working in Television and Advertising. Since then I've been back in Australia for about 7 years, this time living in picturesque Sydney. Don't ask me about the beaches though... I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been to Bondi Beach in the last 7 years (not much has changed since I was little).
I live in a colourful, creative and kooky part of Sydney, and those are perhaps 3 good words to describe myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have some friends who've couch-surfed and their tales have intrigued me...
I'm interested in travelling not just to see THE world, but also to meet people and learn about THEIR world. I want to hear stories, be inspired, be challenged, learn about different cultures from the people themselves. And ultimately - make some incredible connections along the journey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I produced a bunch of short documentaries for the broadcast of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras. To be able to showcase personal stories and highlight social issues within the community was something I was extremely proud of.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being a film/tv native and ardent lover of documentary, I travel with professional camera/audio gear. If you have a story to share or something you think the world needs to know/hear, I'd love to help you craft a short narrative so it can be shared far and wide!
What I Can Share with Hosts
From soul-stirring conversation to ridiculous laugher, what I can share is genuine human connection. I also make a mean cheese board and know who to pick a good bottle of vino :-)
