I finally used couchsurfing for the first time (and the last time for now) in one Italian summer trip in July 2024, after I've heard of it for some years. As someone who used to travel solo, I found couchsurfing really fun and helpful!

My trip was more enjoyable with couchsurfing. I've got to know some locals and got a lot of travel guidance from them, even though I didn't stay with them. I can enjoy the places to a deeper level because the locals introduced it to me (with their love and passion for their home). I also gained some new travelling friends (we got lost and discovered interesting things & places together).

I want to keep using couchsurfing for travelling in the future, not necessarily to find hosts, but to find travel buddies and go on some interesting trips together!
