I am a Londoner living in Guangzhou, China. I have lived here for 2 years going on 3! I work in marketing for a wine importer/events company and I also work part-time as an English teacher.

Before moving to China, I lived and studied in Leeds, UK and Wisconsin, USA. I consider myself a friendly and social person who loves to have fun and learn new things. I'm easy to talk to and usually down for whatever! I love meeting / getting to know new people when I travel - all part of the adventure.

I'm not willing to host visitors to Guangzhou for the Canton Fair or other business-related matters and this is why I may not reply to some requests. However, I am happy to host any like-minded travellers who want to visit Guangzhou!

I first joined CS to explore and travel the US as much as I could during my breaks from university and after my study abroad year in America, I've been hosted on CS quite a few times now and had such great and unique experiences that you just wouldn't have staying in a hostel or hotel. Due to living with different people and travelling often the past few years i don't get to host very often - but one day!

Music is my main love, I love to go to music events and see live music. I also love to watch films and have an interest in contemporary art and enjoy going to art exhibitions and museums.

I particularly love to explore new places and their landmarks and scenery. I love to explore the outdoors and go hiking/biking and am a sucker for really nice views. I also love to go out and have drinks with friends and am always down to experience a place's nightlife whenever I can.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I'm a huge music fan and love most genres - indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, folk, country etc. A few of my favourites: Radiohead, The Cure, Sigur Ros, LCD Soundsystem, Sylvan Esso, Vance Joy, Kings of Leon, Jack White etc. I studied cinema as part of my major and so I love to watch films of most genres, especially independent/drama/coming of age films.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I hitch-hiked from Leeds, England to Prague, Czech Republic (through Belgium and Germany) without spending any money in order to raise money for a charity through sponsors. It was a great challenge for a great cause and ended up being such an adventure and easily the best experience of my life.

I am a friendly, fun-loving and respectful person who is always up for a new adventure and a good time. I am super easy going and more than happy to go with the flow should any CS's want to hang out or introduce and welcome me to their city. Being an outgoing Brit, I would happily expose my CS host to British culture as well as share any stories and recommendations of places I have travelled to!
