About Me

Note: I have no intention of using Couchsurfing as a hook up site. I love forming friendships with people from different parts of the world and seeing a place through the eyes of a a local.

I left my home of Edinburgh in October 2015 to start travelling. I worked and traveled my way across Coast to Coast Canada and up to the Hudson Bay. I spent two years travelling Continental North America and am now doing Europe, North Africa and Asia before hopefully settling in Australia for a year after this Summer.

I love cooking, being outside and and generally going on adventures.

My goal in to travel in every Continent before I am 30. So if anyone has a hook up for a boat headed to Antarctica give me a shout. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love couchsurfing as it gives you the opportunity to see places and meet people you never would as a tourist staying in a hostel. So far I have only participated in couchsurfing as a surfer but look forward to hosting when I have more permanent accommodation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving home and moving to across the Atlantic on my own. Since then there have been so many amazing things, every day brings another. Living in the sub arctic tundra for five months and kayaking with beluga whales every day is definitely up there though. Also playing double bass for the Dalai Lama was pretty incredible and sleeping under the stars in the Western Sahara.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a good vegan meal and bring some beer.
