Hello, couch surfers!
I have been spending a little over eight months travelling around the world and cannot believe I haven't discovered couch surfing earlier. I'm currently in Victoria, Australia and will soon be heading to New Zealand to apply for my work/holiday visa for Australia and head back. My trip was only meant to be six months, but when I got to Australia, which was meant to be my last stop, and realised it didn't have to be, I decided to stay! I intend to travel for as long as I can, a year or two, before returning to San Francisco, where I've been living for the past few years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This trip is my first experience travelling, and what I've found I love most about it is connecting with and sharing new experiences with new and different people. Couch surfing seems like an excellent way to meet open and honest, kind people. I would love to host when I return from my travels, or end up settling down, it just seems like such a great way to help someone out and share a bit of your life with someone who has lived a completely different life than you.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: my favorite word is Petrichor "a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather" It's just that rain smell, you know that rain smell? It's such a pleasant word for such a pleasant thing.

Learn: I am eager to learn about most anything, I'd love to learn a new language. And I love learning about wine and food and art of all kinds.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well I love to cook and have quite a bit of knowledge about food and wine and beer, etc. I can recite quite a few poems and love to write. I've always been a storyteller, and am happy to share true stories from my life, or ones I've written. Gotta lotta good vibes to share too :P
