Overview
About Me
I'm a recent university graduate, and I'm currently traveling for six months through Southeast Asia. I'm an avid traveler and always itching to explore somewhere new! My degree is in international business, but my passion lies in international relations and social justice topics. In June, I'm leaving to join the Peace Corps (a US government run service organization) in Uganda, where I'll live for the next two years. After that, I dream of going to grad school for international relations, and eventually running my own nonprofit.
I'm traveling alone, so I am very open to meeting new people! I love exploring things off the beaten path, and especially getting out into nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet locals! I'm trying not to follow all of the tourist traps. I believe the best part of traveling is meeting new people and discovering new cultures. I think that's what couch surfing is all about.
One day in the distant future when I have my own apartment back home, I look forward to hosting couch surfers myself. What a fantastic way to meet people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was recently in Myanmar during the parliamentary election, and it was the highlight of my trip so far! Such an exciting, high spirited place to be on that day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
All of my traveling experiences! An open mind, great attitude, and desire to explore. And of course help with household chores and such! I'm more than happy to help you out with anything you need around the house, and I can promise to be a clean and respectful guest. I've also been doing a lot of English teaching throughout my travels, so I'm happy to help hosts with their English to the best of my ability!
I haven't yet stayed with a couchsurfing host, so I'm sorry I don't have any references. I can however, provide you with references from some of the volunteer hosts who have hosted me through workaway.info if you like.
