Hi I'm Emma, I grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland and returned there for eight years after completing my university degree in Nottingham, England.

Living back in Northern Ireland was never part of my plan, but somehow it happened. I moved to Brighton and I haven't looked back.

I feel it's best to be up front and say I have a very restricted diet to help control a couple of health conditions. This can all be a bit overwhelming for other people (it was for me too when I started!) especially when food and srink is such a big part of socialising. But I've got a good knowledge and lots of recipes. It will be okay. I won't starve!

I know what it's like to be in a new city. I'm happy to help where I can. I like to meet new people who can share their travel experience and learn from people active in their community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy sci-fi and quirky books and films. My favourite films are Man on Wire - I could watch it again and again! - and Rogue One. My favourite books are the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. I've not done a lot of reading recently due to staring at screens all day for work. I'm currently slowly getting through Ready Player One.
