About Me
Hey there! I live for hiking, exploring nature, creating art, and watching pretty sunsets. I have a deep desire to share these experiences with others, and hope to connect people to nature through art. One thing you'll never find me without is my traveling watercolor kit! I’ve also recently begun to explore the art of handpoke tattooing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like most couchsurfers, I’ve been bitten by the travel bug. I hope to explore as much of this planet as possible, but most of all, I hope to meet a ton of amazing humans along the way!I love listening to other’s stories and hope to forge genuine human connections.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC— I appreciate all types of music, but I have a soft spot for anything indie, folk, or alternative. Some of my favorite artists include the Paper Kites, the Lumineers, the Black Keys, Maggie Rogers, the Head and the Heart, Hollie Col, and Trevor Hall. MOVIES— I’m a huge fan of Pixar and Disney movies; I’ve watched them since I was a child and will continue to watch them into adulthood! Some of my favorites include Monsters Inc, Cars, A Bug’s Life, Inside Out, Chicken Little, The Lion King, and Mulan. Besides that, romantic comedies are my guilty pleasure and I’ll always adore interesting documentaries. BOOKS— I’ll always love realistic fiction books; one of my favorites is White Oleander by Janet Fitch. I also read memoirs quite often, especially those written by artists, travelers, or naturalists. These include: Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat, H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald, Tales of a Female Nomad by Rita Golden Gelman, Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, In the Shadow of Man by Jane Goodall, and Wild by Cheryl Strayed. I’m always looking for recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Given myself nine handpoked tattoos :)
I’ve also jumped off a 35 foot cliff by a waterfall in Upper Michigan!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always learning- and I’d love to learn more about rock climbing, sustainability, gardening/herbs, homesteading, entrepreneurship, ceramics, or even a new language!
