About Me

Hi everyone!

I'm a French person currently teaching French (makes sense) at university in Edmonton. This is my first time in Canada and more generally out of Europe so I'm excited about this whole experience.

I never know how to describe myself but I'd say that I'm open-minded and easy-going person who wants to learn about anything and meet people from different backgrounds. I like making jokes but I don't know if they're funny.

I left France to start from scratch, I like challenging myself and try new experiences, I can't wait to see how it goes here in Canada. I've never been good at plannig things far ahead so we'll see where I'll be next.

Also, I'll be travelling with this amazing German person, if you want to check her profile as well :

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never couchsurfed before but it seems to be a great way to meet sound people from different backgrounds and share our experiences! I like this idea of staying at locals' place. It's the best way to know about a town while avoiding the touristic activities.

Interests

I think that volunteering in cultural and social fields (welcoming refugees, music festivals, animal shelters, French classes) is one of things I love the most.
I also really enjoy clay sculpting even though I'm not that good at it and I tend to try many manual activities in general.
I'm still learning how to juggle and I hope one day I'll master this skill.
Board games with friends and a glass of wine is one of the best way to spend the evening in my opinion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have brewed beer for a month in some friends' brewery in Auvergne. It was an amazing, enriching experience! But don't ask my too many technical questions, I was paid with beers which impaired my memory.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I said, I'm pretty open to learn about anything you're passionated about!
I can also teach you some French if you want it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking vegetarian meals that we could share while listening to each others stories.

Countries I’ve Visited
