ABOUT ME

My name is Emma; I'm a 21 year old born in Kentucky and grown in Wisconsin. I am all sorts of artsy and geeky and love to travel. I am pretty quirky and get along with most everyone. I spent a year backpacking through Australia after graduation and will be back this fall after I tour Korea and Japan!!

PHILOSOPHY

It is my goal to see all the places and meet all the people and have as many stories and learn all the things that I possibly can.

Unfortunately, I am not able to host right now. But someday when I find myself in a stable enough position, I would love to experience that end of the deal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had occasion to couchsurf a couple of times, and have had nothing but stellar experiences.

Intereses

I love reading, photography, hiking, and fangirling over TV shows. I am interested in writing, acting, environmentalism, music, and learning new languages. I frequent cafes, thrift stores, markets, book stores, museums, gardens, and music venues. It's always my aim to see a place from a local's point of view.

Música, películas y libros

Books are my religion. I love everything from The Poisonwood Bible to A Guide to Medicinal Plants to The Little Prince. My favorite genre is fantasy--in the style of The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In A Ship of Her Own Making, Scorpio Races, Graceling, Harry Potter, and Howl's Moving Castle.

I have six diverse older siblings and have been influenced by their taste in music past any discernible labels. I'd say indie and alternative rock would categorize some of my favorite bands: The Local Natives, Florence and the Machine, Imagine Dragons, Two Door Cinema Club, Regina Spektor, The Unlikely Candidates.

Of course, I also have an endless list of favorite movies. Some are: The Princess Bride, The Goonies, A Knight's Tale, Underworld, Lord of the Rings, How To Train Your Dragon, Jane Eyre, Syfy's Alice, Moulin Rouge, Treasure Planet.
