About Me

Hi!! Whenever I can, I like to escape somewhere new and see things I have not seen before. I am recently graduated from my Bachelor in International Relations and starting a master in International Law in Amsterdam after this summer. I am pretty busy in my day to day, and looking forward to summer travels keeps me motivated when it’s a bit much:) I’ve not had the time to get around much this year, so now this summer I am solo-interrailing and travelling through Italy with my friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My traveling sister recommended couchsurfing to me, shared her cool stories, so here I am! I love my studies, but I also love to travel (like everyone else on here ;) ). The entire idea of Couchsurfing, opening up your home for people you have not yet met, offering an authentic travel experience, really resonates with me. Couchsurfing is the absolute perfect opportunity to meet new people and explore new cities and places through the eyes of locals :) It sounds like the ideal way to travel and get to know a new city ! Very pass-it-on-philosophy, I dig it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-wise, I listen to rock, indie, and house/techno mostly, my favorite movie of all time is, a tad basic, Forrest Gump, and the best book I have read so far that touched me the most is ‘The End of Loneliness’ by Benedict Wells.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

bungeejumping, lots of activism, and I have survived the most difficult philosophy course ever ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am still young and not yet very wise I’m afraid haha, but there are some things that I live by. Treating strangers with respect, treating animals with kindness, and trying to leave the world in a better place, are important to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share stories, (hopefully) fun company, experiences, tips, and good food! If surfers were up for it, I am always down to show people around the nightlife of Groningen and where to get the best late-night snacks :) Unfortunately, I moved and my new roommates did not want me to host anymore, but I look forward to moving to Amsterdam and being able to host people there!

If my hosts have time, I love spending time together to get to know them better and see their cities in the best way:) I’m very flexible, love lots of things, and would like to give back to hosts as well:)
