About Me

Hi! I'm a recent graduate from the University of Manchester. In 2015 I had the opportunity to study abroad in the US at the University of Tennessee. I couchsurfed and traveled for a short while around the States following my semester studying, and it was such an amazing experience exploring and getting to know some of the American people!
I am coming back to the US in November as there is so much of the country I didn't get to see when I came previously. I had so much fun traveling in 2015, so it makes perfect sense to me to try Couchsurfing again when I continue my travels. I'm coming to the US with one of my friends who also studied abroad with me in Tennessee, and we are both very friendly and sociable people who want to get the most out of our trip as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love that Couchsurfing provides a way to connect travelers with locals, as by doing so enables me as a traveler to find the hidden gems of a city instead of only being aware of the most famous tourist attractions (which often aren't the best!)
If people are kind enough to host us, we will happily buy you drinks or pay for dinner, as a small way to say thank you. :)

Interests

My interests include:
- traveling (obviously)
- making friends, going out
- cooking
- crocheting (I have been teaching myself to make clothes!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's really hard to pick just one thing, but I think moving out to America was pretty amazing - I've made the most amazing friends and done some awesome things: taking part in a carnival for Mardi Gras in New Orleans; climbing a waterfall in Jamaica; staying in a cabin the Smokey Mountains for the weekend; partying at Bay to Breakers in San Francisco, and going to a festival in California over Memorial Day Weekend!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you all about British culture, including how to make the perfect cup of tea.
I love sharing and hearing stories about where other people have been and what they have done - so many people have really interesting tales which are great to hear!
I want to learn as much as possible from you when I am visiting - where is good to eat, what fun stuff there is to do in your area, and anything that you think is interesting.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russian Federation, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, United States
