Hi! I'm Emma, 22 years old, born and raised in Eindhoven but living in Nijmegen. I moved here three years ago to study and I enjoy the city a lot. I love to cook, play sports, go out with friends, meet new people and ofcourse, travelling. I haven't been far, but I loved every journey. My favourite trip is the one to the Scottish Highlands with friends I made when I studied in England. I fell in love with the nature and it's purity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Going local is amazing. Getting out of your comfort zone, experiencing the true culture of a country or city. I hope to meet new people here, get tips and possibly staying at someone's place or have someone stay at mine!

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music. Mostly indierock, indiepop, slightly mainstream but more sustainable music than most pop music.
My guilty pleasure films are musical films. From The Sound of Music to Mamma Mia and Pitch Perfect. Besides that, I'm always in for good films, or just a romcom or action film. I often ask people "is this a film you need to see in the cinema?", because sometimes a film is so much better on a big screen!
I'm a slow reader, so I've always preferred thinner books, but I am actually considering reading Harry Potter soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Like previously mentioned, my trip to Scotland! And mainly the Scottish Highlands. The nature is beautiful and I felt so off the grid, it was amazing.
I've also driven in the UK, where they drive on the left side of the road. For a righty, this is the scariest thing ever, especially when driving in rural areas with small roads. Never. Again.
