Hi there! My name is Emma, I'm 29 years old, and I live in Dublin, Ireland. I was born in a New Jersey suburb of New York City but moved when I was 9 to the hills of upstate New York just below the finger lakes. In 2014, I decided to pursue a career in health and moved to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada to go to school. I recently graduated from Pacific Rim College with a diploma in holistic nutrition. I am now living in Dublin for a year. While I'm here I am doing an internship at a holistic wellness centre for 4 months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couch surfed on a couple different road trips, just not through my couch surfing account. I did a road trip from British Columbia down to Phoenix Arizona and back and couch surfed the whole way back. Last year I did a 5 week road trip with a couple girlfriends and we couch surfed most of the nights (some hostels, some friends other nights). We met a bunch of really rad, like-minded people and I have been so happy with how welcoming and kind the couch surfing community has been! I have also unofficially hosted people over the years, bringing in travelers I have met to stay in my home, some becoming forever friends I am still in touch with today! I really love the couch surfing community and what it has shown me so far and I'm really excited to now have an official account and use it on my travels in the future!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to British Columbia to pursue my interests in health and nutrition was the biggest milestone in my life so far! I have done and seen so many amazing things. I have met people from all over the world and now have some really close friends here. I have been so inspired by the west coast to step out of my comfort zone and grow as a person.
