ABOUT ME

My name is Emma, I'm 26 years old.

I have been living in the USA (San Diego, CA) with my husband for one year and a half. Since I can't work because of my visa, I do my best to meet people, improve my english, share activities with other expatriates at the International Center.

I think I am easy-going and quite serene ; sensitive, careful, but also talkative, funny and spontaneous, depending on the moment ! I try to live simply with people around me and to remain open and welcoming to everybody.

I'm not a big party girl, but I really enjoy to travel and discover new places, have nice week-ends or simple moments with my friends, over a meal and/or a game, discussing about anything.

Back in France, I used to be a neuropsychologist with children who have brain damages. Now, I give french classes and tutoring, mainly for children.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS is an experience of sharing and meeting and I'm really pleased to give and receive hospitality !
When I host you, I am always happy to share a meal and have a nice evening with you, but it's not a problem if you prefer to go out and make something else by yourself ! In that case, you just have to note that I'm not a butler and I'm not here to open the door in the middle of the night...!
I totally understand that sometimes, you have to make many requests to find a place but I like when they are a little personal because it's nicer to know that my profile has been read and appreciated =) !
I would be happy to be hosted as well, specilly in the US since I live here ; that would be a great way to meet people, improve my english, discover american culture...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made a month-long journey by train in East Europe with my boyfriend (now husband !) We didn't know where we would sleep at night or where we could be the next day. It was so good to experiment freedom and permanently discovery !

Teach, Learn, Share

Well... I'm not a great cook but I really like to make my own little products... I can show you how to make your own bread, french crepes, jams, yoghurts... and maybe you could cook a meal from your country ?
