About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am at my exchange semester in California right now and try to come a round a bit while still attending university...

ABOUT ME

I am an open person, fun to be with and uncomplicated. I love to hear stories of people all over the world and write them into my traveling diary. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now I did a lot of couchsurfing in California with a good friend of mine some years ago after our highschool degree. Two aers ago I traveled with another friend of mine through the Benelux countries and had some great hosts there too. It was always great and I have tried it again in several times in different cities in Germany.

I would really also like to host back home, but my flatmates are not so open to that and we do not have a living or guest room in our apartment. One day I will host people though. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hade funny, interesting, helping, a bit strange and all in all just really great experiences. I would miss couchsurfing in my live, if I had not discovered it. It is still the best way to meet new openminded people and also perfect for exploring a new surrounding.

Interests

I want to do a tour around the world one day, but my money is short (of course...) and so I try to squeeze in shorter periods of travel in my study breaks.
I love nature and am interested in keeping our planet alive, but I also enjoy visiting big cities for a couple of days to get new input.
I really enjoy my major communication and want to do a Masters in European Studies or something related afterwards, because I have the feeling that the things happening in Europe at the moment are important to all of us (europeans) and I want to be a part of the people who built a future we can all enjoy.
I love to explore other cultures and am crazy about new food. Really, I try almost everything...

Music, Movies, and Books

I will always and forever love the documentary HUMANS. It is so beautiful, it is impossible not to cry. Have a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdb4XGVTHkE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been backpacking in Egypt last year (which is interesting as a woman actually) and lost my purse on a busride to Kairo. The whole story is amazing and I would love to tell it when we meet in person. (Spoiler: I got this purse back. It has something to do with mobilephones, closed embassies, broken flipflops, lipstick and a shop owner who was deeply in love with my travel mate.)

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn everything I can. I love cooking and am always eager to learn new recipes. (But just to let you know, I am terrible when it comes to sports. Don`t throw a ball at me, I will probably die, because I will fail to catch it.)
But one of the most interesting things to learn, in my opinion, is how other people from another background think and feel. The world is so diverse and everybody is so different that it is unlikely that one meets a new person and does not learn anything new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If we get the ingredients, I would love to cook something german for you, or of course whatever you want (and I am able to do).
