About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm a current graduate student at The University of Wisconsin- Madison in a program called Global Higher Education
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Emma. I live in Minnesota and work just across the Mississippi River at a quaint restaurant in Wisconsin. This geography puts me right in the middle of "the midwest nice" region. It's a sweet place to be and I'm a pretty happy person who's just here living out my human experience. While it's a nice place to come back to, I also like taking leaps away, being culture shocked and meeting people from all walks of life.
PHILOSOPHY
"Whatever you are doing now is the most beautiful thing."- thanks to a lovely little message written on a bag of tea.
Interests
I like to spend time walking in the woods, hiking, reading a good book, writing down ideas, making pies, taking a jog, thrifting, exploring old and new places, learning about history, and window shopping for trinkets. I also like to take pictures and go out dancing. In the summer, I'm fond of gardening and canoeing and in winter I like to ice skate and enjoy the warm and cozy feeling of nice wool socks. In college I studied literature and it still remains an interest of mine, especially in the areas of the novel and many forms of poetry. I'm a fan of sending and receiving nice pieces of handwritten snail mail. As far as collecting goes, I like finding coffee and tea cups and having a good time with good company. I've also inherited a nice stamp collection and enjoy finding a nice record to listen to. That covers some of it, I think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I stood on a boulder 985 meters above a fjord between two mountains in Norway, holy smokes. There was my au pair year that I spent abroad in Sweden which held a multitude of amazing experiences but really, I tend to find the small, serene experiences the most amazing of all.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to make lots of good soups and Swedish pancakes. I try to be an advocate on the reasons why you should visit the midwest and would like to share good beer with you. I want to learn what's going on in your community right now that makes it an awesome place to be.
