About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be Happy

ABOUT ME

British Born Chinese, lived in Australia for 8 years, and have returned to the UK with a mini me in tow.

I'm very lazy, hoping for maximum output with least effort.

I've just discovered that when I'm tired, I can become a moody cow, so it's best to avoid talking to me, as I have no patience.

This blog has me in it: http://thedromomaniac.com/2011/12/24/creating-a-hitchhiking-monster/

This is MY BLOG!! http://emma-rambles.tumblr.com/ But I've been too lazy to update it....

I'm a slow traveller and don't feel the need to visit all the tourist destinations, my plans change very easily depending on people's suggestions and ideas. I planned to travel 3 months to see the whole of Vietnam in May 2016, somehow I only managed half the country in 2.5 months!

PHILOSOPHY

I live for food! Very easy going, low expectations keeps me from disappointment. I want to try everything!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS when I was in India on recommendation of a friend, at first was too nervous to surf, so went to CS events which were super cool. Finally took the plunge in Taipei and its been an amazing experience.

Hosted and showed people around Cardiff a few times, hosted several times in Malaysia. Unfortunately unable to host as I'm staying at my parents, but I can show you around on weekends if you're happy to do child friendly activities

Interests

A lot of everything!! Which I thought was a problem, but apparently isn't. I enjoy being outside, hiking and general sightseeing on foot! Reading soppy fiction and writing postcards in parks, and napping in public areas(provided the weather is good) Rock climbing and EATING!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies and Books - Ashamed to say, buy usually soppy love stuff with a happy.

I got myself a Kindle in September 2014, but it took me until December 2014 before I could use it, thank you to Carlo who hosted me in Alice Springs for saving the kindle!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

Being British, but with Chinese roots, can attempt to share British and Chinese culture.... its a bit of a random mix tho.

I love sharing my own travel experiences as well, apparently I'm quite bossy....

I taught myself how to knit via YouTube back in May 2016, definitely not a pro, but can get a you started. I also know how to crochet, again from youtube, I made the hat in my profile picture
