ABOUT ME

I find it problematic trying to tell people about where I'm from. I would consider myself Scottish, as have grown up in Northeast scotland, but with English parents, and having lived all over, it all gets a bit confusing

I am currently attempting to figure out what on earth I want to do with my life post-university. Whilst doing that I am making the most of the freedom to live and experience new places and so am currently spending a few months living in Padova in Italy, a beautiful city with so much to offer, and the gems of the Veneto region at your fingertips.

I love meeting new people from all over the world and seeing as many places as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Oct. 2011: Surfed with Antonio in Firenze! What an excellent start to what I hope to be a long couchsurfing life :D
Nov 2011: Surfed with some friends with Peter in Bologna. Another awesome couch surfing weekend!
Hopefully will get to do some more in the not too distant future!

Movies: A small selection of some favourites like Anchorman, Lord of the Rings, most Tarantino, Coen brothers films, any musical, good slasher movies, the Dark Knight, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, 80s romcoms. To be honest, most things.

Music: Like a lot of types of music, from classical to rock to rap. But at the moment I am particularly fond of folky/acousticy singersongwriter music, such as Mumford & Sons, Woodenbox with a Fistful of Fivers, Johnny Flynn, Ingrid Michaelson, Wakey!Wakey! etc

Books: Favourites currently include The Time Travellers Wife, The Book Thief, Camera Lucida, The Shadow of the Wind, One Day.

Bus trip up the Manali-Leh highway in Northern India where the scenery changes from city, to hilly forest, to high altitude desert, and finally reaches the himalayas. Spectacular trip full of unforgettable memories.
