About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning farsi to read persian poetry
ABOUT ME
My life seems to be made of random strings, but I think the bigger picture will be good. I try not to plan ahead too much.
I am currently studying philosphy in Copenhagen and travel around whenever there is time. I used to think that I had to see every country in the world, but lately I've been more relaxed about it. The world should have some secrets after all. I am very open minded and I find almost any subject fascinating as long as it's being presented with passion.
PHILOSOPHY
If there's no good reason not to do it, do it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed and hosted and shared good advice. CouchSurfing really helped me a lot when I moved to Poland, and I'd like to help other people in return. I've made some fun acquantances and some really good friends through this site.
Interests
Litterature, writing, philosophy, physics, game theory, history.
I also enjoy long summer nights, the smell og rain, travelling by train, strange and new cultures, stories from far away, norwegian nature, the company of strangers, the comfort of old friends, spending time with myself, reading in small cafés and the taste of fresh coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Great Gatsby, Stiller, 100 years of solitude, Crime and Punishment, Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience, The Rosy Crucifixion, Don't Kill a Mockinbird, America (Jean Baudrillard).
Kings of Convenience, Yann Tiersen, Bright Eyes, Arcade Fire, Nina Simone, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd.
Twin Peaks, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Wall, Man on Wire, La Vita e Bella.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting stuck - I got stuck in Bankok because of the riots in 2008 and in Riga because of the vulcano in 2010.
Moving to a city I'd never heard of in a country I'd never been to without having a plan. (turned out to be Wroclaw, Poland)
Reading all 7 volumes of 'In Search of the Lost Time' by Marcel Proust. It really is like having lived a second life, now I will always remember what the times were like back then in the 1890's. Those were the days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to solve the prisoners dilemma. The trick is to trust that others trust you. I can also teach you to determine truth or false by the means of logic - although I'm not sure it really works. I can tell you where to find the cheapest bar in Copenhagen and the complex rules of beer-bowling.
I'd like to learn the answers of these questions:
What does the finnish word 'sisu' really mean? Why is persian poetry more essential to the people than other places? Why is having a pet tiger so cool? Did Schrödinger's cat really die? Why do the brittish eat beans in the morning?
