ABOUT ME

Emma is 25 and Trent is 27. We got married in April 2013! We went to Bali for our honeymoon and this year we went to Fiji for a weeks holiday.

Our 'big' trip overseas was in 2011 to Canada, USA, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, which spanned over about 5 months - this was an absolutely great experience and feel blessed to have been able to do this.

We lived in Rockhampton and Brisbane prior to this. We both work full time so it is much better for us to host over the weekend as we won't really have a chance to show you around. But we are still willing to host during the week if you are happy to be independant. We love meeting new people and sharing experiences. We do not smoke and do not do any drugs and expect you won't either.
We are hoping to go on a trip to the UK and Europe in the next few years, so would especially love to host people from this area!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted and surfed and have loved the experience we got out of it.

We would love to teach you some Australian ways of life, such as some of our slang, dishes from Australia and anything else you are curious about.

We'd love to help you understand and decipher the following 'Aussie Language'.
"yeah nah", your mates are Shazza, Bazza and Kazza, going down to see Acca Dacca and gettin Maccas in ur trackie dacks. You once did or still do live in woop woop, your mate's Commodore died in the ass after a bingle and you understand "no wukkin furries" is a good thing and you're a 'fair dinkum' Aussie!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did a road trip through Eastern Canada and USA (during the 2011 heat wave in a car with no AC and 1 working window!).
Went to the Salt Flats and rode the world's most dangerous road in Bolivia.
Hiked Macchu Picchu in Peru!
Went to the Galapagos Island's in Ecuador - my favorite trip of all time!
