Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm interested in meeting new people from around the world.
ABOUT ME
I have lived in Seattle, Washington, USA since 1987. I am married to an Irishman who has lived in Seattle since 1992. We were married in 2000 and love to travel around the world when we have the time and money. We both enjoy reading, board games, computers, and good food.
PHILOSOPHY
By European standards, I'm a social democrat. My husband and I are queer, and involved in the LGBT community in Seattle. We're omnivores, but we have friends who are vegetarian and vegan, and are used to supplying food they can eat at our dinner parties and get-togethers. We're an atheist household, but open to all religions as long as no one tries to convert us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have hosted a few couchsurfers when we have the time available.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not couchsurfed.
Interests
I love to read and knit, and spend time with friends when I am at home. When I travel, I love to visit museums and historical buildings. I love to climb the stairs of towers to then see the views of the cities and country sides, and I love to descend into the earth to view catacombs and wells and ancient ruins. I also enjoy eating new food with interesting flavors that I haven't tried before.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy and mysteries. I enjoy watching action adventure movies and comedies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing on a cliffside in the mountains north of Barcelona as my Irish husband's Spanish cousin got married. The view was fantastic, the wedding was beautiful, and the reception afterward at her father's guesthouse at the foot of the cliff was wonderful with great food.
I loved exploring Umbria with my husband. We rented a small house within the walls of an old castle and made day trips to various hill-towns. We saw beautiful churches and buildings, wonderful views, and ate fantastic food.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: knitting, and cake and cookie baking.
I'd like to learn: different knitting techniques from around the world, how to make other food.
