ABOUT ME

i am currently a final year literature student at Cardiff University- and still struggling to actually finish a book!
i have no idea what i would like to do next, but hope it will involve travelling. i would really like to explore Northern Europe.
i love music; festivals, gigs, vinyl, cool record shops,and my boyfriend playing guitar.
i write the Best postcards, will beat you at scrabble (perhaps) and can play kum by yah on the harmonica, but i cannot cook, map read or make origami. i am scared of escalators and goodbyes.
my friends tend to describe me as happy and sandy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couch surfed both officially and unofficially since my gap year in 2007, and don't intend to stop any time soon! I have hosted, been hosted and helped organise a number of very diverse gatherings- from swing dancing in Sydney's Hyde Park to free hugs in Byron Bay.

books i've actually finished, and enjoyed, include a clockwork orange, captain corelli's mandolin, rebecca, if nobody speaks of remarkable things, enduring love. i also LOVED 'if on a winters night a traveller..' but didn't finish that, either.

attended a rave half way down a cliff in sydney...which made the following day's news!
got a flight to greece, got a house and job...a week later lost both- yet managed to stay out there for the next 3 months!
inadvertently worked for the greek mafia
sailed away...and back again
caught a lift home via europe in a camper van
climbed up a volcano
'surfed' in shark infested waters
snorkelled a tropical reef in hawaii
fallen a little bit in love (countless times!)

i can teach you how to make cocktails, play the piano and bake amazing cookies!

i'd like to learn more languages,as much and as many as possible, and i always always want to hear and play and watch new music. if someone could enhance my guitar/ukulele playing abilities that would be nice too.
